Jose Canseco claims A-Rod is cheating on new fiancée J.Lo: 'I am willing to take a polygraph'

Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez barely had a minute to celebrate their engagement before becoming the subject of scandalous gossip.

Controversial former MLB player Jose Canseco blew up the couple’s happy news, announced on Saturday, by posting several tweets on Sunday night claiming that A-Rod is cheating on J.Lo with Canseco’s ex-wife Jessica. “Poor girl she has no idea who he really is,” Canseco wrote about J.Lo.

Oh, but Canseco — who, like Rodriguez, once played for the New York Yankees (though not at the same time) — didn’t leave it there.

Canseco then challenged A-Rod to a fight of some sort … because of course.

And promised to take a lie-detector test to “prove that what I’m saying about Alex Rodriguez is 100% accurate.”

Needless to say, people on the internet are intrigued.

It should be pointed out, however, that Canseco has long been making these kinds of claims and has said that he dislikes A-Rod.

In 2008, Canseco, who has a history of wild tweets, wrote in his book Vindicated that Rodriguez was smitten with Canseco’s then-wife Jessica — whom Canseco said he met at a Hooters in Ohio — and constantly called her. While promoting that book, Canseco told Page Six, “I believe they had an affair.” Rodriguez was married to his wife Cynthia at the time. She filed for divorce a few months later citing his extramarital affairs as the reason behind their split.

Canseco, who admitted to using performance-enhancing drugs and outed other players he claimed did in his book Juiced (2005), also claimed in Vindicated that he introduced A-Rod to a steroid dealer in the late 1990s, which Rodriguez denied. A year later, Rodriguez admitted to using PEDs.

Lopez has been credited with helping Rodriguez rehabilitate his public image. After his suspension, he retired as a baseball player in 2016. They started dating in February 2017, and through the relationship people have seen a new side of Rodriguez, now a baseball commentator as well as running his own business. Rodriguez and Lopez often share photos of their beautifully blended family.

After two years together, they became engaged over the weekend during a romantic getaway to the Bahamas. They both shared photos of her gigantic engagement ring. This will be her fourth marriage and his second.

Neither Rodriguez nor Lopez has commented about Canseco’s claims, but we will update this story if they do.
